Paul Hinkle, Chief of Staff

Roger Tessneer, D.V.M.
Dr. Tessneer graduated from NC State University in 1975 with a B.S. degree in animal science. From there he obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 1980. He owned and operated three practices in Gastonia for many years before coming to Hinkle’s Pet Hospital in 2008. He is our dental guru.
Dr. Tessneer is an incredible chef and keeps us all well fed. He enjoys cooking, gardening, hunting/fishing and singing in his church choir.

Rod Eddings, D.V.M.
Dr. Rod Eddings joined our staff in February 2012 and hails from Nebraska. He has practiced for 30 years primarily with pet animals. Having relatives in the Carolinas, Dr. Eddings decided to move to God’s country.
He enjoys archery, hunting, and fishing. He and his wife are tolerated by their German Shepherd cross, Syrus; and three cats, Sarah, Petey, and Junior.

Wayne Johnson
An ex-cornhusker moved here from Wahoo Nebraska in 1999 and hasn’t been able to escape since. Wayne started at Hinkle’s Pet Hospital as a veterinary technician in August of 2011. Has a soft spot for the little ones and regularly tortures Captain Jack Sparrow by getting the spots his ghost leg can’t reach! Has two “babies,” Xena the warrior Pomahua Princess, and Shiva, the feline ice queen.

Nancy Harmon
Nancy has worked in the veterinary field for 30+ years. She worked with Dr. C.E. Cox when she was a teenager and has continued in the field of veterinary medicine ever since. Nancy loves all animals and has a small farm which includes horses, chickens, dogs, cats, and a spoiled goat. Her hobbies include horseback riding and raising orphaned animals.

Catherine Greene
Catherine has been working in veterinary hospitals for several years. She resides with her husband Keith and 2 boys, Harvey and Thatcher. She has 2 dogs and 3 horses, Booboo, Star, and Salem. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family by the creek.

Sarah Brackett
Sarah was born and raised in small-town friendly. She has worked at Hinkle’s since April of 2016. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoors, and photography. She currently has 4 fur-babies, 3 blue heelers and a cat.

Holly Cobb
Moved to Rutherford County 4 years ago. Originally from Shelby, North Carolina. She has been with Hinkle’s Pet Hospital for 3 years now. She enjoys getting to interact with the animals everyday, and learning something new each day. Her hobbies include running, and spending time with her little boy, who is her whole world.

Jessica is a native of ROCO. She is owned by 2 animals, a dog, Astraea & a cat, Pad Thai. She has been at Hinkle’s for a little over 3 years but has worked in veterinary medicine for 10 years.

Amanda K. Rash
Amanda has lived in Rutherford County her entire life and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. She has worked in the health care profession for over 19 years with 16 years of management experience. During this time she received her X- ray Technician Certification, Chiropractic Assistant certification, Insurance billing/coding, she served as a medical technician and for 3 years as a specimen processor. Amanda started working at Hinkle’s pet hospital in 2015 part-time and has since transitioned into a full-time position. She has 2 daughters Katelyn and Madison a son-in-law Tyler and 2 grandbabies. Amanda is married to Scott Rash, D.C. and she loves spending time with family, friends and looks forward to learning new things and meeting new people.

SUSAN MOORE
Susan Currently resides in Rutherford County with her husband Michael and her three fur babies- Jasper, Bella, and Phoebe. Susan has worked in a veterinarian Office setting for over 15 years, in which 5 of those are with Hinkle’s Pet Hospital. Susan’s hobbies include reading and spending time her 3 grandchildren, who are the love of her life.

EMILY BEAUMONT
Born in upstate, NY, Emily moved to NC at the age of 8, and has called Rutherford County her home ever since. She currently lives in Spindale with her husband Jason, 2 rambunctious sons Ezra and Aidan, and dog Bella. Emily has worked at Hinkle’s since 2014, took a break in 2017 to stay home with her boys and came back in May 2018. When she’s not working, you’ll find Emily having lots of adventures with her boys and spending time with her family.

MANDY LOGAN
Mandy has worked as a practice manager in the health care profession for over 20 years. She currently holds an Associate in Business Administration and certifications in Chiropractic Assistant, X-ray Technician, and Insurance billing/coding. Her and her husband, Skippy Logan, have 1 son, 3 daughters, 2 grandsons, 2 cats, 1 dog and 1 grand-puppy. In her spare time, she loves spending time with family, reading and doing mission work. Her motto in work and life is to always be positive influence and to treat others with the respect and compassion that everyone deserves.
